This place is amazing! The food is handmade with all fresh ingredients. The chef believes in giving only the best. The prices are cheap in comparison with the amount of food and the quality. It is family owned and has been in business 34 years this year! They are open from mid-March through mid- November and are open only on weekends. They do like reservations because everything is handmade and the chef and his wife do all the cooking it helps them to plan for the weekend. Don't miss out on this wonderful dining experience.

The food is great and the person who own the place are very nice.

This restaurant has exquisite food and a great family friendly atmosphere. It had everything from spinach gnocchi to calamari. Followed by salad or soup, and for an additional cost you can get bread and dessert. I hope everyone can try this wonderful homemade Italian food.

Food is always perfect. 3rd time for me in 20 years of living in the Bitterroot and never have been disappointed.

Seriously, the best Italian food in this area. Worth the drive from Missoula. Great menu, great wines, everything is made from scratch and is delicious. Highly, highly recommend!

After hearing for years how amazing the food is, I finally tried! It did not disappoint. The house-made pasta was perfectly prepared (gnocchi as appetizer, sausage and peppers for dinner). I have to say the ambiance is poor; water stains on the ceiling, very loud music, strange decor, and flies flying around the display of breads guests are to choose from at the entrance. The hostess is friendly our server...kind of gruff. So, 3 stars because I would patronize again but not if my own will.

Love this place! Great atmosphere and nice staff. I was a vegetarian for years and they always helped me find something fantastic that wasn't on the menu.

OMG. If I could rate it as 10 stars I would. Is the ambiance not what it was 20 years ago? Sure, but when you have food like that, who cares?

Doesn’t deserve 1 star. Went there as a party of 7 - 5 adults and 2 toddlers. They turned us away saying they could only serve 6.

Wonderful food in an inviting atmosphere! The spinich gnocci is tender and light. Homemade bread and desserts are excellent also. I look forward to going again.

The very best Italian food! Authentic and delicious! Gnocchi is like minature heavenly angel pillows. Must make reservations! But wow is this place worth it! Top two favorite places to eat in the Bitterroot.

Good us great. Service very slow. Credit card machine not working, gave very lame excuses. Told us to go use the ATM??? Would have appreciated a heads up at beginning of meal.

We have stopped into Marie's for dinners many times over the last twenty five years. In addition to enjoying some really delicious and authentic meals (my wife is Italian) , it was always a treat to experience the atmosphere of the traditional family-run Italian restaurant.

Been here several times with my wife and we have never had a bad experience of any kind. The food is hands down some of the best Italian you can get anywhere. I don't know how places like this stay open the prices are to low for the quality and quantity of the food you get and they don't advertise. Go try it and bring friends.

Amazing dinner!

Only open on summer weekends but well worth making a reservation

First time at Marie's. Ordered the veal scallapine with choice of pasta. And came with fresh vegetables. When I got it it had angel hair pasta with tomato sauce, not my choice. Waitress said thats all they serve with this selection. Asked about the fresh vegetables that I did not get, she said the applesauce is the vegetable. Was dissapointed about meal.

Amazing from start to finish. You can tell these folks love what they do and take pride in their food. Highly recommend.

My mom and I heard about how good this place was from someone clear across Montana while we were on a long motorcycle trip. So we made a detour on our way up to Glacier. The food was great, the hot Italian sausage had a lot of flavor and heat, and the lamb shank I got just fell off the bone and had tons of flavor from the sauce. Afterwards we tried their eclairs and the crust was super light and fluffy. The whole time our waitress Aimee took great care of us. She was super friendly and gave awesome recommendations. She made the restaurant really have a home cooked Italian kind of feel.

Service was poor, food was cold and we felt like we were bothering them by even being there. We got there a few minutes before they opened and a waitress came out in the parking lot to tell us we were too early and when we said we would wait outside, she asked if we had reservations, clearly hoping we didn't so she could tell us to leave. This is a bad example of Italian food and hospitality. We won't "bother" them again.

The gnocchi and mushroom alerting are great!

Without a doubt, my favorite Italian restaurant ever! I usually opt for the lighter tomato based dishes and I am always happy.

It's pricey but it's wonderful for date night. Good food, the atmosphere was sort of lacking when we last went there. Chilly. Reservations are a must.

Most amazing cuisine in the State of Montana. Dining here is as much a must as seeing Glacier Park. Both are incredible. You will not be disappointed.
